Sunny Studio 5th Birthday Blog Hop

Hi friends! I'm soo excited to be joining this blog hop to celebrate Sunny Studio's 5th birthday and brand new Fall/Winter release, now available in the store. We have amazing projects from the Design Team, and fabulous giveaways, so grab a cup of coffee (or tea), and have fun hopping!!

If you're following along on the blog hop, you should have arrived here from my super- talented friend, Rachel. At the end of the post, I will list all of today's participants if you would like to start at the beginning.

My card today showcases the brand new set, Farm Fresh. This is such a fun set, and a perfect accompaniment to the Barnyard Buddies stamps.

To make my card, I began by cutting a piece of  red gingham paper from the Classic Gingham 6X6 paper to a 5 1/2" square, and then attaching it to a white card base. Next, I cut a piece of white cardstock to a 5" square and cut out a window using the largest die from the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies.
Next, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from Farm Fresh.

Copic Colors:
Red: R14, R24, R27, R39
Green: YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67
Brown: E40, E42, E43, E44, E47
Yellow: Y21, Y23, YR24
Chickens: W4, W2, W0, W00, E40, E43, E42, E40, R27, R14, Y38, Y35

Next, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to 5 X 5", and lightly ink blended the background with Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides for the sky, and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass. I adhered the barn scenic border to the inked background, then attached the white panel to the background with foam tape for dimension. I added the cute chickens and other elements with foam tape to finish off my little scene. The sentiment was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock to complete my card.

Home Is Where the Heart is Challenge

Hi guys! I'm soo excited to be hosting my first challenge, Home Is Where the Heart Is, sponsored by Lawn Fawn!

The theme of the contest is Home is Where the Heart Is. Using Lawn Fawn products, create a card that represents your hometown, where you currently live, or any place you call home! The contest runs from August 14 - August 28th, 11:59 PM,PST.  Post your projects to Instagram using the #homeiswheretheheartischallenge, so I know where to find your entry! One winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the Lawn Fawn store, woohoo!! I can't wait to see all the amazing entries, and where everyone is from!!

Here's my card. While, I'm not originally from Las Vegas (well actually, Henderson, NV), I have lived here for over 20 years, went to college, and raised my kids here, so it's home to me! I had soo much fun creating this card to pay homage to Viva Las Vegas...from the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign, to the wedding chapel (yes, I got married in one!), to the alien to represent Area 51, lol!

Some of the amazing Lawn Fawn ladies joined in the fun and created some fabulous cards for the challenge! Huge thanks to you guys!!

Big thanks to Lawn Fawn for sponsoring the contest and generously providing the $25 gift certificate for the winner.

Thanks so much for stopping by...I can't wait to see what you all create!!!

XO,
Tammy

Super Duper with Sunny Studio

Hi there! I'm over on the Sunny Studio blog with this Incredible's inspired birthday card, perfect for the superhero in your life! We love the Pixar move, The Incredibles! I think I must have watched it 50 times with my daughter, lol! I thought it would be fun to turn the super heroes from Super Duper into my favorite Super hero family!

To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to 3 1/2 X 8 1/2", and ink blended it with Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. I added some little white stars by splattering white acrylic paint onto my background. Next, I cut 2 borders from black cardstock using the Cityscape Border Die and backed them with a light yellow cardstock to make it look like the buildings are lit from within. I lined them up along the bottom and trimmed off the excess from the sides.

Next, I stamped and colored with Copic markers the images from Super Duper. I then die cut the colored images with the coordinating Super Duper Dies.

I arranged the colored images onto my background and adhered with foam tape for dimension. Next, I cut a white speech bubble, using the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and attached it tom my card. To finish up my card, I cut the tiny white stars from the same die, glued onto the background, and attached it to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" white card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by...I hope you all have an "Incredible" day!!

Hugs,
Tammy

Sealiously Sweet with Sunny Studio

Hi Friends! Today, I'm over on the Sunny Studio blog sharing this sweet card, featuring the cuties from the adorable Sealioulsy Sweet Stamp Set.

To begin, I created an A6 card, so I cut my Bristol smooth cardstock to 4 1/2 X 6 1/4". I ink blended the background with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. Next, I cut a border using the Woodland Borders Die, and used Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks to create a sandy beach. I splattered some watered down brown and white acrylic paints onto it with a paintbrush to add some interest to the sand, and attached it to the inked background.

Next, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:

I stamped the sentiment from Sealiously Sweet in black ink along the bottom of my card. I then arranged the images onto my card, attaching some with foam adhesive for dimension. To finish my card, I adhered the completed card front to a white 4 1/2 X 6 1/4" card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you next time!!

Hugs,
Tammy
