Easter Egg Hunt with Hello Bluebird

Happy Weekend and Happy Leap Day, friends!! With the weather getting warmer, and Spring on its way, I was inspired to create a fun Easter scene. My slimline card, measuring 3 1/2 X 8 1/2", was made using the Easter Egg Stamp set and Treehouse Scene Die from Hello Bluebird.

To begin, I cut a 3 1/4 X 8 1/4" panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. I inked the top of it with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Oxides. Next, I cut grassy hills, using the Grassy Knoll Die. I ink blended my grass strips with Shabby Shutters and Bundled Sage D.O. I then thinned out some Bundled Sage with a drop of water, and splattered it on the grass with a paintbrush to add some interest.

Next, I die cut the treehouse from various colored cardstock using the Treehouse Scene Die and assembled. I attached the assembled treehouse to the top of the inked panel with tape runner. I layered my grass onto the card, and then attached my panel to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" card base.

I stamped the images from Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Gatherings onto Bristol cardstock. All images were colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen. Next, I cut out the colored images with the Easter Egg Hunt Die and the Spring Gatherings Die.

I stamped the sentiment from Spring Gatherings in Memento Tuxedo black ink. Finally, I attached all the sweet images to my card, tucking some behind the grass, and using foam tape for dimension on others.

Hello Spring with Hello Bluebird

Hi friends! I don't know about you, but I am sooo ready for Spring and warmer weather! Today, I have a sweet Spring card for you featuring Spring Gatherings from Hello Bluebird.

To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2", and ink blended with Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks to create my sky background.

Next, I cut another piece of Bristol cardstock using the Oak Tree Scene Die. For the grass and tree, I blended Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn D.O., and splattered with some watered down Mowed lawn to add some interest to the tree. The tree trunk was cut using a brown cardstock, and inking the edges with Gathered Twigs D.O. for a bit of dimension. I attached the white frame, tree, and grass to my blue inked background.

I stamped the images from the  Spring Gatherings Stamp set with Memento ink onto Bristol cardstock. I colored the images with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, and cut out using the coordinating Spring Gatherings Die.

I stamped the Hello Spring sentiment onto my card with black ink, and attached the sweet images to my card using foam tape for dimension. Lastly, to complete my card, I attached it to an A2 card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today...see you soon!

Toadally Awesome Friend

Hi crafty friends! I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day!

Today, I have a Spring themed friendship card, featuring Garden Friends from Hello Bluebird, one of my all time favorite sets! Maybe it's because my Dad had a "thing" for frogs? He would always buy us something frog related for every occasion...frog ornaments for Christmas, frog stuffed animals for Valentine's Day, etc, LOL! In honor of my Dad, I have a frog sitting on a toadstool in my backyard, and these sweet images remind me of him and his quirky affinity for frogs! :)

To begin, I cut a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2"  panel of Bristol smooth cardstock, and inked the top half with Distress Oxide inks in Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass. Next, I cut the grass, using the Grassy Knoll Die, and inked it using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides. I layered my grass border over my blue inked panel.

I cut a stitched rectangle from white cardstock, and cut out a circle to frame my scene. I placed it over my inked background, using foam squares to pop it up for dimension.

Next, I stamped the images from the Garden Friends Stamp set onto Bristol cardstock, and colored with Copic markers. I added highlights to my colored images using a white gel pen and then cut them out using the Garden Friends Die.

I arranged my colored images onto my card, and attached some with foam squares for dimension.

I cut a strip of black cardstock, heat embossed it with white embossing powder, and attached to the bottom of the circle opening.

Using the Hello Friend Words Die, I cut "friend" three times from a pale pink cardstock, layered them, and glued onto my card with a fine tip glue pen.

To complete my card, I attached my card front to an A2 card base.

Thanks so much for joining me today! See you next time!

Tammy
