Construction Trucks with Pretty Pink Posh

Hello friends! I had so much fun creating these cards featuring the new set, Construction Trucks, from Pretty Pink Posh. This set is so much fun, and would be perfect to create party favors for a construction themed party!

To begin, I stamped the images from the Construction Trucks Stamp Set onto Bristol smooth cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I then die cut the colored images using the Construction Trucks Coordinating Dies.

To create this A2 card, I began with an A2 panel and attached black and yellow cardstock strips die cut using the Simple Strips Dies. I adhered the strips diagonally, cutting off the excess to create a fun background. Next, I cut a smaller rectangle panel from Bristol smooth cardstock. I created the dirt hills using the new Layered Roads Stencil, and blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks. I then splattered some Vintage Photo ink, thinned with water, to add some interest to the hills. Next, I ink blended the top of the card with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks and attached it to a white mat before attaching to the striped background. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in black ink and attached it to an A2 white card base to complete my card.

I also created a fun, coordinating box card using the Construction Trucks stamp set. I began by cutting the base of the box from black cardstock. I added some yellow cardstock strips die cut using the Simple Strips Dies, attaching them diagonally as I did the A2 card. Next, I finished assembling the base of the box. The backdrop was cut from Bristol smooth cardstock, and the top was ink blended with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I created the dirt hill using the Layered Roads Stencil, and blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks. I then splattered some Vintage Photo ink, thinned with water, to add some interest to the hill. I then attached my backdrop to a white mat and adhered it to the box.

I attached the colored images to the box, using foam tape on some for both dimension and to add some stability to the box. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of white cardstock and attached to the front of the box card and finished it off with a little truck attached with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you were inspired to create some fun Construction themed projects!

Hugs,

Tammy

Pretty Pink Posh - June 2022 Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! I'm so excited to be joining in on the blog hop to celebrate the Pretty Pink Posh June Release!  The brand new release is available now and it is so much fun!!

If you're following along with the blog hop, you should have arrived here from Nichol Spohr's blog.      Make sure to read to the bottom of my post for info on the giveaway and links to today's blog hop participants!

For my project, I created a fun dinosaur card using the adorable new stamp sets, Dinosaur Friends and Dinosaur Additions.

To begin, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:

Next, I cut a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock to 3 1/4 X 8 1/4" and ink blended the top of it with Wilted Violet, Prize Ribbon, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks, splattering the background with water for some interest. The bottom was blended with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks. I then splattered it with some Vintage Photo, thinned with water, and then some thinned white acrylic paint to give it a more realistic look of dirt.

Next, I white heat embossed the sentiment, then arranged the images onto my card, attaching some with foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I attached my card to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" white card base to complete my dino birthday card!

I also created a coordinating dinosaur box card because these dinos are too much fun to play with!

To begin, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:

Next, I assembled my box card, ink blending the background and sandy borders with the same inks as the slimline card. I arranged the dinos and attached them to the box, using foam tape for both stability and dimension. I spelled out RAWR using the Balloon Alphabet and attached them to the back of the box with foam tape, and the pterodactyl was attached using a thin strip of acetate. Lastly, I cut a piece of blue cardstock for the front of the box, white heat embossing the sentiment, then attaching the palm trees and dino with foam tape.

Color Challenge 3 with Hello Bluebird

Hi friends! We are so excited for June's color challenge over at Hello Bluebird! Take inspiration from this gorgeous color palette, featuring light aqua, navy, cream, and terracotta; reminiscent of a Vintage Summer! A little shout out to my super-talented daughter, Avery, for creating this gorgeous color board!

This gorgeous board inspired me to create a fun summer themed card, featuring the adorable sets, Beach Play and Come On In.

To begin, I stamped the images from Beach Play and Come On In, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. Next, I die cut the background using the Ocean Waves Die, ink blending the waves with Prize Ribbon, Peacock Feathers, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. The sand was ink blended with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo DO inks and attached to a background I lightly blended with Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass DO, and cut down to a square format. I then cut a white square frame using the Gallery Frame #7 Die and attached it to the background using foam tape for dimension.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from Come On In in black ink, then added the word "SPLASH", die cut from navy cardstock using the Charlie Alpha Dies. Lastly, I attached the colored images using foam tape on some for dimension, and attached it to a white square card base.

Be sure to head over to the Hello Bluebird Blog for the Challenge Rules and details (for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to the Hello Bluebird shop), and more inspiration from the design team!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you all create for our #hellobluebirdcolorchallenge3

Hugs,
Tammy
