Treasure Island with Rachelle Anne Miller Designs

Hello friends! I'm so excited to announce that I have joined the Design Team for Rachelle Anne Miller Designs! Her designs are so beautifully illustrated, a touch of whimsy mixed with a storybook look, makes Rachelle's designs amongst my favorites! Today, I am sharing a card featuring the adorable digital stamp, Treasure Island

To create my card, I printed the digital image onto Hammermill 100lb. paper, sizing it to a 4 X 6 print. Next, I cut my paper to approximately 3 1/2 X 8" - a modified slimline size. My card is a bit wider than a traditional slimline card, but fits perfectly in a business envelope.

I colored the image with Copic markers, adding white gel pen highlights. Next, I masked off my colored images and lightly inked the sky using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I then stamped a sentiment and seagulls from My Favorite Things in black ink. The Friend sentiment was cut from red cardstock three times using an alpha die from Hello Bluebird. I stacked them together and attached to my card for a custom sentiment.

Lastly, I attached my card to a black cardstock mat, then to a white card base to complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!

Hugs,
Tammy

Looking Sharp with Sunny Studio

Hello! I'm over on the Sunny Studio blog sharing this fun birthday card, featuring the Looking Sharp Stamp Set. Those sweet, smiling cacti and succulents are just the cutest!!

To begin, I cut Bristol cardstock to 3 X 8" and ink blended the background with Abandoned Coral and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide inks. I splattered some water, then some thinned Abandoned Coral ink onto the background to create some interest. Next, I created a frame by die cutting white cardstock using the Scalloped die from the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies. I then centered the stitched mat die onto the scalloped rectangle and ran through my die cut machine to create a frame, and attached it to my card.

Next, I stamped the images from Looking Sharp onto Bristol cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and die cut the images with the Looking Sharp Dies.

Copic Colors Used:
Greens: G28, G24, G21, G20 and YG67, YG13, YG03, YG01, YG00
Pots: E19, E17, E15, E13, E11
Coral: R35, R32, R30, R00
Yellow: Y15, Y13, Y11, Y000

Next, I stamped the sentiment onto my card using black ink. Lastly, I arranged the images and attached them using foam tape for dimension, then adhered my card front to a white slimline card base to complete my card!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulously crafty day!

Hugs,

Tammy

MFT Stamps - Sketch Challenge #542

Hello friends! I'm thrilled to be playing along with My Favorite Things for Sketch Challenge #542! I hope you'll join us for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to the store! Here's my card, inspired by the sketch:

To begin, I cut a panel of Bristol cardstock to 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" and ink blended it with Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks. I then splattered some water, then black acrylic paint onto my background for a bit of texture. Next, I created a frame overlay using the Hexagon Pops Die-namics. To do this, I first cut a slimline frame from Smooth White Card Stock. Next, I placed the Hexagon Pops die onto a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" panel of white cardstock and repeatedly cut it. Once it was completely die cut, I attached the frame on top of it and adhered to the inked background.

Next, I stamped the images from We Beelong, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the We Beelong Die-namics. I then cut 3 circles from Bristol cardstock using the Stitched Circle Stax Die-namics, and lightly ink blended the center of each circle with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber inks. I splattered some watered down Wild Honey ink, then some black acrylic paint onto the circles, to add a bit of interest. The images were then added to my card, using foam tape on some for dimension, and the sentiment was white heat embossed onto a strip of Black Licorice cardstock to complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are inspired to create a project using this fantastic sketch. Head on over to the MFT blog for more sketch inspiration from the team and your projects for a chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher!!

MFT Stamps - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #541

Hello friends! I'm so excited to be joining My Favorite Things for Sketch Challenge #541! I absolutely love sketch challenges, so it was fun to be able to join in this month!

For my take on the challenge, I used the newly released RAM Million Dollar Friends Stamp Set. This darling set of besties take center stage on this fun and bright card!

To begin, I cut a rectangle from Bristol cardstock just slightly smaller than an A2 size. I then masked off my card using washi tape to create the split square in the sketch and ink blended my background with Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide inks. I splattered some water, then Picked Raspberry ink (thinned with water) onto the background before removing the washi tape.

Next, I stamped the images from the RAM Million Dollar Friends Stamp Set onto Copic friendly paper, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Coordinating Dies. I attached the images onto my card using foam tape for dimension.

I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock and attached it directly under the girls feet. Lastly, I attached my card front to a thin white cardstock mat, then onto an A2 purple cardstock card base to complete my card.

Head over to the MFT blog for more sketch inspiration! Play along and upload your creations for a chance to win. One lucky winner will be chosen at random to win $50 in MFT Cash to be spent in the MFT Boutique.

Scalloped Fence Die with Sunny Studio

Hi there! Today I'm over on the Sunny Studio blog with a sweet and simple card, featuring the newly released Scalloped Fence Die. I love how easy it is to piece together to create a custom size fence border for any size card! The sweet critters from Beach Buddies are sweetly perched on the fence, sending lots of smiles!

To begin, I cut a rectangle panel of Bristol smooth cardstock a little smaller than A2 size and ink blended it with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I splattered a bit of watered down Salty Ocean ink onto the background to add a bit of interest to the sky. Next, I cut a grassy border from Bristol paper using the Slimline Nature Borders Dies, ink blended with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks, and attached to the inked background, cutting off the excess. I then cut the Scalloped Fence from white cardstock three times and pieced together to create a border, tucking it behind the grassy border. I matted my panel on a piece of white cardstock, then onto a yellow A2 rectangle cut from the Classic Sunburst Paper.

I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:

I arranged the colored images onto my card, attaching some with foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I white heat embossed the sentiment from Beach Buddies onto a strip of black cardstock, and attached the card front to a white A2 card base to complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by...I hope your day is full of smiles!!

Hugs
