1 Stamp, 3 Ways - On the Beach

Tropical Scenes with Sunny Studio

Hi friends! Today, I'm over on the Sunny Studios blog sharing this fun, Safari themed card, featuring Savanna Safari and Tropical Scenes. I just love the diversity of the Tropical Scenes stamp...I find myself using it on most of my cards lately!!

To begin, I cut an A2 rectangle from the Summer Splash Paper.  I then cut out the center to create a window using the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies. I cut another rectangle from Bristol smooth cardstock, and lightly ink blended it with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink. I splattered some Peacock Feathers, thinned with water, onto my inked background for interest. I adhered the green patterned paper to the background with foam tape for dimension, and then attached that to a white A2 card base.

I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:

Savanna Safari/ Coordinating Dies
Tropical Scenes/ Coordinating Dies
Fabulous Flamingos/ Coordinating Dies

I arranged the safari cuties onto my card, attaching with foam tape for dimension. I tucked the leaves and foliage behind the critters and attached the jungle vines across the top. To complete my card, I white heat embossed a sentiment from Savanna Safari onto a black cardstock strip and attached to my card front, tucking it behind the giraffe.

Beach Babes with Hello Bluebird

Hi friends! Today, I'm over on the Hello Bluebird blog sharing this fun summer themed card, featuring Beach Babes. I just love these sweet, water- loving little piggies...they are the CUTEST!!

To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to 3 1/4 X 8 1/4", and ink blended the top potion with Tattered Rose and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. I lightly layered a bit of Worn Lipstick over the Tattered Rose to darken it up just a tad. Next, I cut a 2 inch strip of white cardstock, and ink blended it with Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks to create the ocean line. I splattered it with some water for interest and attached to my background. Next, I layered a sandy hill on the bottom of my card and attached my panel to a white 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" card base.

I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut the images from the following sets:

Beach Babes/ Coordinating Dies

Hippos on Holiday ( seagulls, beach pail)/ Coordinating Dies

Copic Colors used:

Pig: R30, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R00, N0, N2

Seagull: N4, N2, 0, Y35, Y11

Yellows: Y04, Y02, Y00

Blues: B05, B02, B00, B000

Next, I arranged my colored images onto my card, using foam tape on some for dimension. I then stamped my sentiment in black ink. The "SPLASH" title was created by cutting white cardstock using the Oliver Alpha Die. I cut it out twice, layered them together, and attached to the center of my card to complete it.

Best Fishes with Sunny Studio

Hi friends! I'm over on the Sunny Studio blog sharing this fun under the sea card. I LOVE underwater themed cards, so I combined some of my favorites, Best Fishes and Sea You Soon to create today's card.

To begin, I cut a rectangle from the Summer Splash Paper. I then cut out a window using the largest die from the Stitched Arch Dies. Next, I created my background by ink blending Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I splattered some water droplets onto my background and blotted up to create some interest to the water. I created the sandy border by cutting a piece of Bristol cardstock with the Woodlands Borders Die, ink blending with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks, and attached to my inked background. Next, I adhered my wave patterned paper over my background, using foam tape for dimension.

I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and cut out the images from the following sets:

Best Fishes/ Coordinating Dies
Beach Babies/ Coordinating Dies
Sea You Soon/ Coordinating Dies

I arranged my under the sea critters and attached some with foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment from Best Fishes along the bottom of my card with black ink. To complete my card, I added some Sparkling Clear Crystals to create some bubbles. Finally, I attached my completed card front to a white A2 card base.

S'more the Merrier with Lawn Fawn and Ellen Hutson

Hi friends! I'm so excited to be joining my fellow designers for the Ellen Hutson Summer of Stamping blog hop! Today, I'm sharing a fun trio of projects, using S'more the Merrier and some older Lawn Fawn sets.

For my first card, I used the Foursquare Backdrop Die to cut a frame from Blue Jay cardstock. I cut away the windows, so that I had an open window to work with. Next, I cut a piece of Blue Jay cardstock to A2 size, and created my cloudy, nighttime background by sponging Yeti ink with the Cloudy Stencil in place. I splattered some white acrylic paint, thinned with water, onto my background, die cut it with the Snowy Backdrop Die, and placed it over a white A2 sized cardbase.

Next, I cut my hills, using the Stitched Hillside Borders. The grassy hill was ink blended with Mowed Lawn and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks. The sandy hill is a combination of Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from  S'more the Merrier and Happy Trails (trees) sets and attached to my card, using foam tape for dimension. To complete my card, I heat embossed my sentiment onto Blue Jay cardstock with White Embossing Powder and die cut it with the Everyday Sentiment Banners. I finished my card by stamping the rest of the sentiment in black ink across the bottom. 

Next, I created a fun bag topper for a s'mores mix. I used to make this mix all the time for my girls when they were younger, and they loved it! To make the topper, I cut a Scalloped Rectangle from white cardstock, scored it in the middle and folded in half.  Then, I cut a piece of Blue Jay cardstock and created the sky exactly as I did my first card. I cut a sandy hill using the Stitched Hillside Borders, ink blended it with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks, and attached to the bottom of my topper. I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from  S'more the Merrier set. Next, I die cut my "S'MORE" sentiment, using the Oliver's Stitched ABC's and 123's from white and brown cardstock, layering them just slightly offset, and attached to my topper. I then attached the stamped images with foam tape for dimension. To complete my topper, I heat embossed my sentiment onto Blue Jay cardstock with White Embossing Powder and die cut it with the Everyday Sentiment Banners. I finished it off by stamping the rest of the sentiment in black ink across the bottom, and attached the bag topper to the bag of s'mores with Double-Sided Tape.

For my final project, I created a slimline card to showcase all the critters gathered around the campfire. I first cut a rectangle from Bluejay cardstock with the Large Slimline with Sliders Dies. The background was created the same as my other two projects; however, I did have to cut my panel since the backdrop die is A2 sized. I just pieced it onto my 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" white card base. There will be a visible seam, but we will cover that with stamps, so you won't be able to see it! :) Next, I cut my borders using the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders Dies. I ink blended the borders with Mowed Lawn, Black Soot, Antiqued Linen, and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks to create a grassy and sandy hill. I attached the grassy border first, then layered the sandy border onto my background. I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:

S'more the Merrier

Open Me (sign)/ Coordinating Dies

Critters in the Forest (trees)

Happy Trails (camper)

I arranged the cut images onto my card, attaching some with foam tape for dimension. To complete my card, I stamped the sentiment from S'more the Merrier in black ink on the sign and continuing along the bottom of the card.

Jungle Friends with Pretty Pink Posh

Hi crafty friends! I'm so excited to be over on the Pretty Pink Posh blog  today sharing this card trio, featuring of all the Jungle cuties from the new release.

For the first card, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut the images from the following sets:

Jungle Friends (Lion, Tiger, Leaves)/ Coordinating Dies

Animal Signs (Koala, Giraffe)/ Coordinating Dies

Next, I cut an A2 sized piece of Bristol cardstock and ink blended the background with Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. I added some water splatters and thinned down Picked Raspberry to the background for interest, and attached it to an A2 white card base. I then cut a 4 X 5 1/4" piece of white cardstock and cut a window using the Storybook 5 Dies and attatched to my inked background with foam tape. I arranged the jungle friends inside the frame and attached with foam tape for dimension, tucking in the leaves behind the critters. To complete my card, I stamped a sentiment from the Encouraging Greetings Stamp Set in black ink.

For my next card, I created a fun, striped ombre background by cutting strips of colored cardstock using the Simple Strips Die. Using the Nature Essential Dies, I die cut a white frame and placed over my striped background, highlighting the stripes. Next, using the Hi Shaker Die, I cut it twice from white cardstock. I carefully snipped off the "hi" sentiment, layered them together, and placed on top of an inked background, using the same color inks as my previous card. I stamped the hippo and leaves from the Jungle Additions Stamp Set, colored with Copic markers, and cut them out with the Jungle Additions Coordinating Dies. To finish off my card, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Simple Sentiments Stamp Set with white embossing powder onto a black cardstock strip.

For my last card, I created a fun slimline card, so I could fit all the jungle cuties! To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol cardstock to 3 1/4 X 8 1/4", and ink blended the background with Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. I then die cut a grassy border, using the Nature Essentials Die (cut 2 borders), and ink blended it with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. I then attached both borders to my inked background, cutting off the excess border and adhered to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" white card base. Next, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and cut out the images from the following sets:

Monkey Friends (monkey)/ Coordinating Dies

Jungle Friends (Lion, Tiger, Leaves)/ Coordinating Dies

Jungle Additions ( Giraffe, Turtle, Hippo, Leaves)/ Coordinating Dies

Tropical Birds (palm trees)/ Coordinating Dies 

I stamped the sentiment from the Encouraging Greeting Stamp Set with black ink, and then arranged the images onto my card, attaching some with foam tape to complete my card.

Christmas in July with Sunny Studio

Hi Friends! Since it's July 1st, I thought a Christmas in July card would be a fun way to kick off the month. My card today is featuring the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies, paired with the darling flamingos from Fabulous Flamingos. These cuties are ready to spread some holiday cheer, tropical style!

To begin, I cut white cardstock to a 5 1/2" square. using the largest die from the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies, I cut out a window. Next, I ink blended a piece of Bristol cardstock with Abandoned Coral and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. Using the Catch A Wave Dies, I cut a wave border and ink blended it with Peacock Feathers for a nice, bright water line. I then cut a sandy border, using the Woodland Borders Die, and ink blended it with Antiqued Linen and Vintage Photo Distress oxide inks. Using a paintbrush, I flicked some thinned down brown paint onto my sand to create some interest.

I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:

Fabulous Flamingos/ Coordinating Dies

Merry Mice/ Coordinating Dies

Tropical Scenes/ Coordinating Dies

Copic Colors used:

Flamingos: R22, R20, R30, R00, Y38, Y35

Pineapples: YR24, Y35, Y15, Y11, YG17, YG03, YG01

Santa Hats: R22, R24, R29, R39, W0

Palm Trees: YG67, YG17, YG03, YG01, E40, E42, E44

Using foam tape, I attached the white stitched panel over my inked background. I arranged the stamped images onto my card, attaching some with foam tape for dimension.

To complete my card, I stamped my sentiment (combining Fabulous Flamingos and Merry Mice) onto a black cardstock strip and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Finally, I attached my card front to a 5 1/2" square white card base.
