Frilly Frames Herringbone with Sunny Studio

Hi crafty friends! Tammy here with a fun card featuring the Frilly Frames Herringbone from Sunny Studio Stamps brand new release. I also used the new Savanna Safari Stamps, one of my favorites, to create a sweet little jungle scene.

To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock, A2 sized, and ink blended it with Abandoned Coral and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks. I splattered some water and some thinned Abandoned Coral ink onto my background with a paintbrush for some interest, and set aside to dry.

Next, I stamped, colored my images from the Savanna Safari and Tropical Scenes (palm trees) stamp sets. I added highlights to my colored images with a white gel pen, and die cut with the Savanna Safari Dies and Tropical Scenes Dies.

Next, I die cut an A2 sized piece of kraft paper using the Frilly Frames Herringbone Die. I poked out all of the herringbone pieces, and it left me with this beautifully intricate frame that I layered on top of my inked panel.
Next, I die cut a white frame three times using the Fancy Frames Circle Dies.  I inked a circle to put behind the circle frame with Broken China, Tumbled Glass, and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks. I arranged my little scene, and the critters were then all attached with foam tape for dimension. I tucked the trees from Tropical Scenes behind the critters to create a fuller scene and fill in any sparse areas.

To complete my card, I stamped the sentiment onto a black cardstock strip, heat embossed it with white embossing powder, and attached to my card front. The completed panel was then attached to an A2 white card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today ...see you next time!

Car Critters with Lawn Fawn

Hi friends! Today, I'm over on the Simon Says Stamp blog sharing this Father's Day slimline card, featuring Lawn Fawn's Car Critters and Slimline Dies from the brand new mini release.

To begin, I cut a large white stitched rectangle, using the Large Slimline with Sliders Die Cuts. Next, using the Small Slimline Lift the Flaps Die Cuts, I cut two rectangles from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I created a fun starry night background by die cutting my panel with the Snowy Backdrop and ink blending it with Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks.

Next, I created the hills by die cutting the other slimline rectangle with the various dies from the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders Die Cuts and ink blended with the following Distress Oxide inks:

Grassy Hill: Shabby Shutters and Bundled Sage
Sandy Hill: Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs

I cut the mountains from Paper Bag Cardstock using the Stitched Mountain Border Lawn Cuts and adhered to my inked background. I then layered the grassy hill, the water, and the sandy hill to my background. Using the Road Border, I cut a piece of Black Licorice cardstock, layered over white cardstock, and tucked it under the water.

Next, I stamped the images onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Premium Ink, colored with Copic markers, and die cut using these sets:

Beary Happy Holidays (fishing pole and fish)/ Coordinating Dies

To complete my card, I stamped the sentiment from Car Critters on the bottom of the sandy hill with black ink. The DAD sentiment was made by cutting Ground Coffee cardstock with Oliver's Stitched ABC's. I adhered above my stamped sentiment and attached my other images to my card, using foam tape on the car for dimension. to finish, I attached my completed panel to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" white card base.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I can't wait to see what you all create with Lawn Fawn's new mini release!!

Tammy

Savanna Safari with Sunny Studio

Hi crafty friends! Tammy here with a fun card featuring Savanna Safari from Sunny Studio Stamps brand new release. I also used the new Tropical Scenes Stamp to create a lush canopy for our jungle cuties.

To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to 3 1/4 X 8 1/4", and ink blended it with Cracked Pistachio and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. I splattered some water and some thinned Mowed Lawn ink onto my background with a paintbrush for some interest, and set aside to dry.

Next, I stamped, colored my images from the Savanna Safari, Tropical Scenes, and Fabulous Flamingo (leaves) stamp sets. I added highlights to my colored images with a white gel pen, and die cut with the Savanna Safari Dies, Tropical Scenes Dies, and Fabulous Flamingo Dies.

Next, I arranged my colored images onto my card. I colored and cut two of the vine borders and pieced them together onto my card to fit the longer length of the slimline card. The critters were then all attached with foam tape for dimension. I tucked the leaves from Fabulous Flamingos behind the critters to create a fuller scene and fill in any sparse areas.

To complete my card, I stamped the sentiment onto a black cardstock strip, heat embossed it with white embossing powder, and attached to my card front. The completed panel was then attached to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" white card base.

Grad Cat with Sunny Studio

Hi friends! Tammy here with a card for Sunny Studio, featuring the adorable mini set, Grad Cat.
Sadly, graduation celebrations are being cancelled or rescheduled for Fall, so this card is sure to put a smile on the graduate's face!

To begin, I started with a rectangle panel of Bristol cardstock, and ink blended it with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide. I splattered a bit of water and thinned Mustard Seed ink with a paintbrush, and set aside to dry.

Next, I created my chalkboard by cutting some brown cardstock with the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies. I then cut a piece of black cardstock and embossed the "con-cat-ulations" sentiment and stars with white embossing powder. I layered the frame on top and rubbed my anti-static cloth over it to give it a real chalkboard look.

I cut a strip of woodgrain paper from the Subtle Grey Tones 6X6 Paper, and attached to the bottom of my card. I cut a thin strip of light grey cardstock and layered right above the patterned paper to mimic a baseboard.

Next, I stamped the images from Grad Cat and  Woo Hoo (diploma) onto Bristol Smooth cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored with Copic markers, and added highlights with a white gel pen. I cut out my colored images with the Grad Cat Dies and Woo Hoo Dies and arranged onto my card, adding foam tape for dimension.

Copic Colors:
Cat - N4, N2, N0, R30, R000, B12, B24, B28
